Over the past few days, I’ve been in Dallas visiting my aunt, and obviously, shopping! Yesterday we went to Beauty Brands, a beauty story chain we don’t have in Canada. I picked up an awesome blush set from there and thought I would do a little haul-on-the-go showcasing it. Apologies for the poor lighting and image quality. Given I’m travelling I just used the camera on my iPhone and had to work with artificial light given it was overcast and early when I photographed.
Officially called the Fantastic Foursome 4-Piece Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Enthusiast Set, this kit comes with a nice selection of limited edition shades:
- Angelic (shimmering champagne) - A nice highlight shade.
- Fantastic (soft fuschia) - A pretty cool-toned pink.
- Magic (pink coral) – My favourite of them all! A gorgeous coral.
- Stellar (shimmering nude) – A bronzer with subtle shimmer.
At 0.10 oz. each, they are half the size of a full-size blush but come in the same round plastic compacts, but without the built-in mirror. So far, I only have one other Tarte blush (in Natural Beauty) and I’ve been really pleased with it. The colour payoff is nice, the shade range extensive, and the lasting power impressive. I also like supporting Tarte given they tend to use more natural ingredients and do not test on animals.

I believe this item was limited edition (likely from their Holiday collection) and is unavailable on their website at the moment. If you’re interested in this set, pick it up while you can! It appears to be available on eBay if you can’t find it at Beauty Brands. I claims to have a retail value of $60 USD but sells for $35 USD and was on sale for 35% off (was aound $20-25 USD).

I have one of these Tarte blushes in Peaceful that I really like. You’re right the color pay off is great – mine still looks brand new and I use it often. My favorite blush is Nars Orgasm – I’ve been going back to it for years. I do switch around though, since I have a lot of them because I think blush is important for pale tired moms like me. :) Love your site!
