I’ve recently come across a brilliant beauty business concept: Lacquerous. Seen by many to be the “Netflix of Nails”, the company charges $18 per month to subscribers who get to choose up to 3 high end nail lacquers to use during the month which they receive and send back via mail.

While $18 may be steep, Lacquerous carries prestige brands whose polishes often begin at the $15 price point (think Tom Ford, butter LONDON, Chanel, MAC), and three polishes a month means you get enough time to try out each of them. For those without large collections of their own, it’s a fun way to try out new, high-quality polishes in the season’s hottest shades. Two-way shipping is included in the monthly fee, and polish brushes are sanitized before being sent out again to ensure cleanliness.
